A prospective study to assess the association of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency with adverse pregnancy outcomes

Background: The complications related to pregnancy and childbirth are the main causes of disability mortality among women reproductive age. Like poor maternal health during lack care after delivery, also vitamin D deficiency plays an important role in perinatal morbidity. Vitamin is common many parts world. There a very strong statistical relationship between multiple potential adverse outcomes.Aim Objectives: objective present study was determine levels assess association insufficiency pregnant with outcomes. Materials Methods: carried out Department Obstetrics Gynaecology, TRR Institute Medical Sciences, Inole (v), Patancheru (M), Sangareddy (Dist.), Telangana, India, consisting n = 110 subjects, attending antenatal outpatient department attached College. They were tested for serum levels.Results: In this study, 9.1% subjects group had normal levels, 28.2% participants insufficient 62.7% deficient levels. Among total 11.8% observed be hypertensive (PIH), which 30.8% participant 23.1% 46.2% results revealed presence low amongst women. However, findings showed statistically significant incidences Hypertensive Disorders Pregnancy, preterm birth, rate primary Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) admissions except birth weight babies.Conclusion: current observations subjects. Statistical significance found associated occurrence Hence, supplementation could possible recommendation all who breast feeding.
